Which is the winner?
“The nanny Diaries” VERSUS “The Devil Wears Prada”
The Nanny Diaries looks like The Devil Wears
Prada. A social beginner woman struggles on an
overnice and overbearing boss and finally, her
dream comes true in both movies. Both
movies' original are also famous chick-
lit(chick+literature). Furthermore,
Both movies take the trendy life in
New York. "The Devil Wears
Prada" sympathizes partly
at the trendy life. On the other
hand, "The Nanny
Diaries" levels
criticism at
the trendy
life
perfectly. As
movie reads
Annie's
narraion,
"In Africa,
there is a
saying that
It takes a village
to raise a child.
But for the tribe
of the Upper East
Side, it takes just one person. the nanny!", Annie
treats the X family as her research materials.
Incidentally, In the scene of the beach party,
Grayer's grandmother is sitting on the beach
reading a paperback copy of "The
Devil Wears Prada" written by
Lauren Weisberger. It means
paying homage to
"The Devil Wears
Prada".
DO YOU KNOW WHAT UMBRELLA MEANS?
"Mary Poppins" is a series of children's books and Mary
Poppins is a magical English nanny. She has a carpet bag
and umbrella. This bag is bottomless and is filled with
children's nursery. Especially, this umbrella makes her to
drift up and down. The umbrella in "The Nanny Diaries"
is the same. When Annie is having dinner with her
mom, Lynette and Lynette's boyfriend, Mrs. X
calls Annie. Her ringtone is "Chim, Chim,
Cheree," a song from "Mary Poppins". Grayer
asked Annie what is the longest word in the whole
world is and she answered, "Antidisestablishmentarian-
ism". Why did he suddenly? Maybe, a director
wanted to inform us of "Supercalifragilis-
ticexpialidocius", not "Antidisestablish-
mentarianism". "Supercalifragilisticexpi-
alidocius" is the word that Mary poppins
teach Michael and Jane as the cheery word with
chanting on "Mary Poppins".

SUBWAY IN THE UNITED STATE OF AMERICA
In 1980's New York, 600 thousand
felonies occured each year. At that
time, New York 's public security was
terrible that there was a saying "going
around not to take the subway in New
York". Spider-man’s background is
New-York. So would hero appear in
New York if public security had not
terrible?
We were concerned about adapting our novel for a movie because of a possibility
for an issue of a satire on high class. However we feel relieved now and express our
thank s to actors and actresses for pleasant actings. Sensuous and polished images,
actors and actresses enhance "The Nanny Diaries".

THE NAME
Mrs. X and Mr. X are the upper class
people who live high on the hog in a
gay life. However they have a strictly
private life and a lack of feeling. So, the
X is a name that point out the
above.Mrs. X's name is Alexandra.
Harvard Hottie is named after 'Har-
vard University' showing his social
position in the United States of
America and Hottie means a charm-
ing person. We can read off Annie's a
mind for him, from the name 'Har-
vard Hottie'.
Grayer is named after 'gray'.
Gray means a gloomy feeling
and a lack of something. He is
well off in a wealthy family, yet
what is this lack does he lack
in? And yes, he runs short of
the concern and hankers after
affection from his parents.
Scarlett Johansson, a nanny in this
movie, has a name "Annie". It
means a nanny indirectly.
If by any chance my report movie analysis, forgive me.
I'm exactly an objective movie observer. In conclusion, I hope
this childish article has been illuminating for those who think
my homework will get A+. It certainly has been for me.
